We are all in a different type of transition. As moms, we can always adapt. That is never an issue for us. However. This quarantine has taught me something. That “MOMS” need to have several seats! Start taking time for yourself because it’s so good for your mental health. As moms it's like our mental health comes last. We are washing clothes, cooking dinner, dropping our children off, handling business, and the list goes on. It never stop.
Most of us are currently staying at home which means that your workload has probably doubled. You’re probably working from home, homeschooling, keeping the house together, and still killing it on your side hustle. However, take some time for yourself. I know that it may be hard especially for those who may be single parents or have multiples. Just know, if you’re not happy and healthy, then your babies won’t be.
Here are a few places that I hide out. I take about 30 minutes a day and often times it’s not schedules. I just get my time in when I can.
A quiet place
1.Shower
2.Closet
3.Laundry Room
Sit in silence for a second. It won't kill you and it won't harm your babies.
I encourage you to remember that your mental health is valuable. As moms, we spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we tend to come last. Let’s change the up a bit. My life started thriving when I started to choose me. Remember that choosing “YOU” is not neglecting “THEM”.
